Thank you to all who made it for the council ring service project this past Saturday!
Here are the latest on-goings:
Rocket Launch, Saturday, May 18th, 9:00am-12:00pm
Join us & bring friends for another town-wide rocket launch. There will be launch sites, rocket building kits & fun. Located at the fields by Birch Meadow
Decoration Day/Flag Day Activities, Sat May 25 2019, 8:30am – 12:00pm
Each year Reading area Scouts decorate the graves of Reading area veterans. The scouts place thousands of flags and flowers from 8:30AM to Noon Please join us for this great community event. It is a ton of fun for the boys plus prior years have seen a truckload of dunkin donuts for participants.
Memorial Day Parade, Mon May 27 2019, 8:30am – 10:30am
Each year Reading area Scout groups march in the Reading Memorial Day Parade. This parade celebrates those who have served our country especially those from Reading. This is a great event where the boys learn community service while having fun walking in the parade. Reading Veterans Ceremony follows the event.

Summer Programming
Here the planned events for the summer:
- Sat Jul 13, 2019, 9:00am – 11:30am (preliminary): Hike @ Mass Audubon’s Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary
- Sat Aug 3, 2019 – Sun Aug 4, 2019: New England Base Camp Overnight
- Sat Aug 17 2019, 9:00am – 10:30am: Rocket Launch!!!
