5/11 Council Ring Service (optional)

This Saturday is an optional Scout service project to help all Reading Scout groups clear and prep the New Council Ring location which is visible from Woodend Elementary Soccer Fields. Attend if you can. Bring work gloves, water bottle

Schedule:

• 8:30am – Meet at Old Council Ring, sign in, get assigned to squads of 4-6 Scouts (Bears and higher)

• 9:00am – Flag ceremony, motivational speech, and safety briefing

• 9:30am – Hike to New Council Ring (Bears and above are expected to hike from old Council Ring; Lions, Tigers, and Wolves may meet the rest of the Units at the worksite near Woodend Soccer Field

• 9:45am – Begin work

• 11:30am – Food and campfire 

• 12:30pm – Cleanup

Parking

Wood End soccer games have all been moved to the fields at Parker due to poor conditions.

There should be plenty of room at the school for all gear vehicles and any drop-ins who want to skip the hike.

For hikers, park at Compost Center and hike to old Council Ring then to Woodend Council Ring
