We meet Friday, September 20th at 7PM for our first Pack 735 Meeting, New Scout Orientation and Recycled RainGutter Regatta exhibition! All youth should bring a boat to race -see below.
We will start at 7PM with Flag Ceremony promptly at 7:10PM. Please arrive in time for the Opening as there will be important info during & following for all Parents and Scouts. Parents, don’t forget your Scout. Cub Scouts isn’t fun if they aren’t there. 🙂
Activity- Recycled Raingutter Regatta. The Raingutter Regatta is a Cub Scout tradition where youth build and race small boats down a channel of water. Since a Scout is “Thrifty” we are asking Scouts to make a boat from recycled materials to bring to the meeting. You can find ideas on how to make a boat in the link below, just know the boat should be no wider than 3.5″ and no longer than 8-12″ for K-3rd Graders. Webelos 4th/5thgraders- your boat should be no wider than 2.5″ because you’ll race the “CHALLENGE CHANNEL!”
New or Interested Scout Parents- we will have a short orientation/information session just for you following our Opening.
Returning Scouts and Den Leaders- You should be in Class A Uniform, tucked in and looking sharp. Don’t forget to make your recycled regatta racer and to put your Scouts name on the boat. Also, bring a friend. As you know, Scouts is way more fun with Friends.
Wondering what uniform your Cub Scout should wear this year? Find out here by rank and grade: https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/cub-scout-uniform/
This year will be awesome fun. We look forward to seeing everyone at 7pm!
