It’s time for the Blue and Gold Banquet, to celebrate our Webelo 2 (Arrow of Light) scouts!
What is the Blue and Gold Banquet?
The Blue & Gold is an annual celebration of Scouting. First started in Michigan as a pot luck where Scouts and Dads carved wooden spoons to eat with, later becoming a potluck celebration. It is now an event where Webelo 2 scouts attain the highest Cub Scout Rank, Arrow of Light and then “cross-over” to Boy Scouts.
This year’s celebration will include dinner, entertainment with a Mad Scientist from the Mad Science Program, a slide show of our Arrow of Light Scouts, and awards.
When and Where?
Location: St. Agnes Parish Hall, 2nd Floor
Address: 86 Woburn St., Reading, MA 01867
What to bring?
This year we will have a potluck dinner. We ask that you bring a favorite dish to the celebration. Your creativity is encouraged!
We estimate around 100-150 people will attend. The goal is to have families bring in a dish enough for 8-10 people.
In order to ensure kid friendly food is available, we are also asking for some of you to bring at least some the following entrees:
- Lasagna (need a total of 3 trays)
Spaghetti and Meatballs (need total 3 trays)
Cold Cuts for Sandwiches (3 trays)
Any other suggestions for kid friendly food are welcome.
Don’t worry if you don’t want to make an entrée. We are also looking for people to bring Appetizers, Drinks, Side dishes, and Dessert.
PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE SOME FOOD ALLERGIES IN THE PACK. AVOID ANY TREE NUTS IN YOUR DISHES. PLEASE LABEL IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONABLE ALLERGENS.
A sign up genius will be sent to you after the Pack meeting on March 8.
When you sign up please specify what you will be bringing and how many adults and children will attend.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Charlene Cuatico (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Shradha Sharma (email@example.com).
Deadline for sign up is March 31 2019.
Hope to see you there!
