Hi All,
We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday!
A theme for the newsletter is this proverb:
Many hands make light work
Now, here’s latest goings ons with 735:
December Pack Meeting & Toys for Tots Service
Our Pack meeting is on 12/14, and we will be giving the scouts their first adventure awards, completing their December service & celebrating the holiday cheer. Refer to the December Pack Meeting Agenda & December Service: Toys for Tots pages for more info.
There are two gifts here, wrapped for swap & unwrapped for service.
January Game Night!
The Bear Dean is hard at work planning this pack meeting for their Grin & Bear It! Adventure. Refer to the Game Night Planning: Grin & Bear It to stay up to speed. There will be prizes!
Programming Updates
On 11/29, the committee voted to move forward with the following:
- Overnight at Battleship Cove on Saturday, 5/4
- Snow-tubing on Saturday, 3/2 at Nashoba Valley.
- Pinewood Derby in early February. We are stilling working on logistics and would appreciate the help.
Refer to the Event Sign Ups page to sign up for the events.
Volunteers Needed!
We have lots of fun we want to do for scouts, siblings & parent, but we need help to do it! It would be a tremendous aid to have key adults outside of the active adult leaders to aid in planning the winter/spring program events.
The Webelos 1 families get an exception as traditionally they are planning Blue & Gold for the graduating Webelos 2s/AOLs.
Families Getting into ScoutBook
Now that Scouts are receiving their first awards, it’s a good time for families to get setup in ScoutBook and help with adventure tracking.
This would be a massive help to the Den Leaders. This also gives scouts a chance to log credit and add in extra adventures from daily life.
For example, Kevin Briere teaches his son’s religion class and the lessons covered they have fulfilled the Duty to God adventures before its covers in Den Meetings.
The Parent Info Page has helpful information and instructional videos on getting set up and logging adventures. We also have links to the apps for iPhone and Android.
Keep an eye out for an invitation email and sign up at the link below.
Dues: Policy Changes (Sibling Discount)
On 11/29, the committee voted to make policy changes to dues with the introduction of a sibling discount which we will doing prospectively. Refer to Dues FAQ’s for more info.
Sharing Memories
As mentioned in early November, we’d love to share memories of events, but we have limited photo releases. Currently, we are only posting select content that’s been pre-cleared.
Please see the Sharing Photos Page for info
Future Programming
Refer to the Event Calendars & Planned Programming for upcoming info and refer to the Committee Info where we plan more specifics.
